Winter looks with a hint of spring!
In this coming months we can have cold and rainy days to warm and sunny days, where we all think that spring actually has began! What to wear is quite a dilemma with these big weather contrasts! It´s hot and then it´s cold! Solution: layering styling, but with layering you have to be careful that you not end up looking as a Michelin man! The secret is to keep the layers quite fitted and whenever you take a layer off you will look spring ready!
Here are some styling tips to get you fashionable through February and March: winter looks with a hint of spring!
Layer this cable knit short sleeved jumper over a camel jersey and these cute checked shorts and the orange tights to make this look bang 70s up to date, enough clothes to make this a warm look, but to changed easily in a spring look by taking off the sweater!
Mix bright separates: Mix bright red colored jeans with a pink top or a yellow skirt with a bright blue top. Just add a warm knitted cardigan on top with a big knitted scarf.
Our favorite look are these beige shorts with the light brown silk vest and add this gorgeous faux fur wrap, this one is from Per Una at M&S.
High waist wide leg trousers: Go for a light colored chiffon palazzo pants or high waist flared jeans, think neutral colors like beige, crème or go for a lighter blue colored flared high waist jeans and match them up with a short knitted sweater.
The beige leather trousers (hm.com) matched up with a silk vest and silk shirt; a perfect cover up for when the sun is hiding behind the clouds.
Long maxi dress: Wear a long maxi dress with an oversized knitted cardigan and use a belt to create more waist!
Tunic over flared trousers: Go for a printed fitted tunic and wear this over a simple black flared trousers add a little cardigan.
The long chunky roll neck sweater from Malene Birger teamed up with a tan leather belt from Boss Black to give this snug sweater more of a sexy look if the sweater is not long enough to be worn as a dress, then put the sweater over a leather skirt.
Flowers with leather: Flower print maxi dress or flower print skirt add a simple long sleeved top match this with a leather (look) biker jacket and a long knitted scarf.
Some more spring trends: With our Christmas decoration put away together with our holiday season party outfits, you are probably not thinking of keep wearing your glittery new year´s eve outfits or shiny Christmas tops. But we can tell you to keep wearing them but mix them up with nude or cream colored separates. To give you an example: nude colored skirt with a knitted metallic look sweater. Colors which were big on the catwalk were burned orange, tan, rust and tobacco! These colors will look fabulous on a tanned skin.
